Technology that Cares.

As I sit and pray to my machine.

I once heard a story about a man that went to the mosque every day to pray. Night and day, he sat on his knees, praying that God would help him, provide for him, he renounced his life at the helm of his devotion. Until finally, in nothing short of a miracle, God comes down to him and says, now how can I bless you if you never leave the mosque?

An old adage, and a timeless experience. It is at least day 365, I sit at my desk, I type to Claude, no I type to GPT, before navigating to perplexity. The 404 error persists, it appears I have been asking the machines of loving grace to help me fix the software, on a hardware problem.

What problem? Well… I have been designing a new computer. A new kind of camera and it needs to see, hear, sense, so it can serve. Without context, all the intelligence of the world is held hostage, we sit at our desks as it chatters, without care. On its proverbial knees, it prays, how can I bless you if you never leave your desk, or look up from your screen, and engage with the world?
